Visit by Professor John Holman, Centre Director, National Science Learning Centre – 08/10/08

Professor John Holman made a visit to Bristol ChemLabS this week. Professor Holman was appointed by the Government as the first national director for science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM). Part of his work is to lead a group charged with coordinating measures to improve teaching and support in STEM subject areas.

Professor Holman commented: "I was of course highly impressed with the physical spaces you have created, but equally impressive is the work you are doing with outreach to schools. You have created what must be a jewel in the crown of the CETLs programme, and it's important that this work goes on."
