Huge Demand for Post 16 Chemistry Conferences in Chemistry Week October 05

The demand for places at this November's Schools Conference has hit an all time high. Over 800 places have been requested for the 330 seats in Lecture Theatre 1!

As a result, both Lecture Theatre 1 and 2 will be used with John Emsley (Cambridge) and Carolyn Morton (UWE) each giving their lectures. Demonstration lectures are also to be given by Chris Wormald and Tim Harrison.

A second conference is being held the following week with lecturers Julian Eastoe (Bristol), Andrea Jackson (Leeds) and John Kilcoyne (Sunderland).

The demand is due to the success of conferences held in the School of Chemistry over the last two years. These free, twice yearly conferences have been sponsored by the Royal Society of Chemistry and ESPRC Portfolio Partnership LASER.
