Closure of Teaching Laboratories 02/12/05

The School of Chemistry undergraduate Teaching Laboratories closed today for the final time before the refurbishment. Final classes were held this week for Levels 1, 1E, 2 and 3 students.

Over the next three weeks the labs will be cleared of chemicals and the equipment will be packed into storage, ready for the refurbishment to begin in January. The laboratory staff would like to thank the students for helping out with the initial clearing up process over the last week.

The new Bristol ChemLabS are due to open in early 2007.

Below is a picture of the final Level 2 Organic Class to use the current labs, which have served the school well for the last 40 years.
